In 1980, amidst the rapid growth of the IT industry, BIOSTAR GROUP's founder, with extensive experience in electronic parts trade and foresight into future demands for motherboards and graphics cards, established BIOSTAR MICROTECH INTERNATIONAL CORP. in 1986.

During its initial years, BIOSTAR primarily focused on manufacturing motherboards designed for the XT form factor. To sustain consistent business expansion, BIOSTAR strategically allocated a significant portion of its resources and workforce to continuously innovate and develop new products. This proactive approach allowed the company to remain competitive in the swiftly evolving computer industry.

BIOSTAR has significantly enhanced its capabilities by diversifying its product range to include motherboards, graphics cards, multimedia, and system products. This strategic move aligns with our commitment to address customer needs through integrated solutions. To cater to the growing global demand, BIOSTAR took a pioneering step by establishing a manufacturing facility in China in 1990.

By 1998, our sales revenues had exceeded US$130 million, securing BIOSTAR's position as the 227th among Taiwan's top 1000 enterprises. In 1999, we proudly obtained ISO 9001 certification, a testament to our commitment to quality. Additionally, in the same year, BIOSTAR became a publicly listed company.

Now, BIOSTAR has become a global brand dedicated to the production of motherboards, graphics cards, SSD, memory modules, intelligent computing solutions, AIoT, HPC, and green energy solutions.
